The Faces of Féile Lughnasa
Last year, I packed my camera and travelled to Féile Lughnasa in Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary.
I wasn’t there for the music.
I was there to capture something that means a great deal to me… people, culture and community.
As I wandered through the festival, I found myself drawn to the faces. The volunteers who gave their time so generously. The musicians sharing quiet moments between performances. Families making memories together. Old friends meeting, strangers becoming friends, and the countless little moments that so often go unnoticed.
For me, these are the moments that tell the real story.
These photographs aren’t about the headline acts or the performances. They’re about the people who give Féile Lughnasa its heart and soul.
I hope you enjoy meeting some of the wonderful faces I met along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to look through my work.
I left with far more than photographs. I left with a reminder that culture isn’t just something we watch—it’s something we create together, one conversation, one song and one shared moment at a time.
Every year has different faces, different stories and different moments.
I can’t wait to see who I’ll meet at this years festival.
August 15th and 16th.
